First post EVER for Baking Cupcakes!

Hello Cupcakes! My name is Pumpkin Saenz and I’m going to be doing a few posts for Baking Cupcakes. I want to take this time to express my gratitude to Miss Calista, Miss Cailin and Miss Laleeta for giving me this great opportunity to write for one of the best SL/freebie-related blogs out here!

Being a Halloween/fall lover (points to her first name), I absolutely LOVE that there are so many pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns included in the freebies! If you love skins, like I do, you will love this hunt. There are a good few awesome skin freebies from the likes of MMS, Splashing Doll, JM:Mai Skin, The Body Politik and a few others. I didn't get a chance to take pictures of all of my treasures, but here are a few of my favorites.

Up next is this get-up. I'm posing with a very pale (and quiet) friend that I brought home from the ghost hunt. The very pretty skin is courtesy of Splashing Doll. The skin looks very delicate and soft. I'm what some may call a "skin whore" or a "skin collector". I had never heard of this store before but I was blown away and I will surely be coming back!

The hair. Ah, yes, the hair. Being a big ass Pumpkin myself, my heart started fluttering when I saw two little pumpkins on my head. I think I might just wear this sweet little 'do even AFTER Halloween!

The necklace I'm wearing is from the talented Caroline Apollo of (Caroline's) Jewelry. I have several of her pieces and I have to say that she is one of my favorite jewelry designers in SL. Her freebies are exceptionally cute and are very detailed. I love the little black kitty on the pumpkin!



The shirt & boots are from Designs of Darkness (D.o.D.) and Lazy Places, respectively. I have heard great things about both places, but hadn't gotten a chance to see what they have to offer. These great freebies are tasty little morsels that satisfy even the pickiest hunter. Highly detailed and high quality, the boots are simply wow. The fun camo shirt adds sexiness to the whole ensemble. This shirt is very versitile and could be worn with just about anything (except...you know...a ballgown or something).

Deviant Kitties Halloween Hunt!

As you probably already know, lol Deviant Kitties is having their annual Halloween hunt, and there's lots of great prizes to find! There's 9 pumpkins I think. :p i didn't find any more than that, but they're not too hard to find, ^^. I saw this cute bee outfit on one of the fashion blogs and went ! I need to have it lol. Turned out not only is it super cute, but free! It comes with the hay and pumpkins also and you can find it at Dernier Cri. I had never actually been to that store before and they have lots of cute stuff so check it out when you go down! The Bee costume is at the entrance :)

The luffy skin in these pictures is free from Rockberry in 4 tones, so join the group if you're not part of it and grab em before they're gone ^^.

Dreaming Alice

VictoriaV is giving out this adorable witch costume for only 1L! Just look for the giant pumpkin and pay 1L to get it.

Baking Cupcakes Halloween Hunt - Updates

If you haven't got the notice in the group, or aren't in it. The Hunt has been changed....to tomorrow. Yeh I know lol. Short notice sry! I'm gonna be moving and not sure if I'll even be here at all on wednesday so I figured we could at least have it ^.^. I'm putting the rules down here too so we don't have too much confusion and nobody yells at me :p.


- There's really small pumpkins AND cupcakes hidden around the halloween area, they won't be anywhere past the giant trees so don't bother looking anywhere past that. They are very small, so yeah it'll be hard and yeah you'll have to walk around lol.
- The pumpkins are free for all so if you find em you get em, you can pick up as many as you'd like.
- The cupcakes are a bit more complicated, they include designs and stuff that was donated which is no copy, so once one is found it's gone. To make it fair, you can only pick up 4. Theres LOTS of these so hopefully everyone can walk away with some ^^
- That's basically it, its a halloween party so dress up if you'd like! ^^ and pleaaase please be nice to anyone else there, I would hate for this to be our first and last hunt. The sim will be open at 6pm slt on Sunday which is when the party will start, till...well however long lol. The pumpkins will stay until Halloween so if you can't make it you can find those at least :) Hope to see you there!

Tabynha Tammas of Royal designs passed this skin onto me, she's got it up as a freebie at her store. And lemme just say first off I'm usually like oh ok cute skin but this one is srsly gorgeous! I love it, the freckles are just so soft and cute, and the lipstick is just mwah! lol so head down there I dunno how long it's free for ^^

Candy Corn

OMG you guys. My 100th post!

Katat0nik has a new lucky chair that rotates two variations of the same dress; Katty it's called, and I have never felt more intensely about a lucky chair. xD I've only gotten the white version of Katty, so i'm staking out as we speak to get another C. The first time I tried, (and I was waiting for a good two hours beforehand,) another C tped in about 5 minutes earlier and took teh chair because I was too laggy. So please, save the hair being pulled out and remember chair etiquette guys.

Biggest Most Important Rules:

1. If there is already another C, X, D, whatever your letter is, there; be fair and let them take the dress. It's just plain rude to sit down after they've been waiting for a good 5 hours.
2. Please, if the store is busy, take off any excess prims you have on. It just lags us all down and makes people bitter towards you, so contribute to SL and GO NAKED! Woooh.
3. If you already got all dresses, unless you're there for moral support with your other friends who unfortunately haven't gotten the dress yet, tp outta there to reduce lag.

Cupcakes Silky Group Gift Love

Yeah, I bet you did a double take when you read that blog post title. LOL I'm doing this quick as I have a hunt to go do at Retrology which I will be blogging about some time this weekend. But M&R Cupcakes has *just* sent out a new group gift of a lurvely new silk top they have for sale at their mainstore.

I would have zoomed in more so you can see the pretty details of the shirt, but when I did SL would act all funky and make my hair dissapear. I don't think you want to see a bald Cailin. So there ya have it! Just search M&R Cupcakes inworld, and join the group. There's a 250L fee, but its 100% worth it as you can see here.

Halloween by Tuli <3

Tuli just sent out some gorgeous Halloween style skins! They come in goth and sunkissed, and have a cute little spider kissed right on the cheek, also comes with an option of having a spiderweb draped across the front of your shoulder. They're really beautiful, as usual the group costs 250L to get in but the quality and amount of gifts given out is totally worth it if you're a Tuli fan. ^.^ Just look up 'Tuli Update group' in search to join :D

These awesomesauce legwarmers make me all tingly.

Nerds, Gobstoppers & Sweet Tarts is what's strapped on these, which just happen to be three of my favorite candies. I'm not a chocolate kind of girl - anything chewy or fruity (or the combination of the two.) and you have my attention. Chocolate? Makes me gag unless its paired with something; nuts, fruit, or mint chocolate chip ice cream. But these candies hold a special place in my heart next to Georgio's pizza and my mom's macaroni and cheese. I still think she left out an ingredient when she gave me her recipe..

Anyway! Moving on to the other goodies Riddle has at the store along with these yummy legwarmers.

A bit of a lot!

I have an assignment due tomorrow so I'm in a bit of a hurry so here goes!

First don't forget that this dress is available for 2l since today at Cilian'gel. 

Those two ponchos can be found in Ray Skin. The purple one along with other colors you can get by camping 20 minutes and the yellow one is a dollarbie in the cart next to the camping chairs. At the landing point go through the store to its backyard to find the camping chairs and dollarbie.

Chic Boutique has some really cute lingerie for 0l. At the entrance of the store walk straight to the fountain then turn right and then in small corner to your right again to get to the freebies' section.

And last but not least Elvie's Closet's lucky chair has reached its final destination. Come get it here. The letter change every five minutes so it should be yours quickly!

Minnu

Minnu has some goodies for us for Halloween! They set up a table with pumpkins and packs of four skins in the entrance hall of their shop. There is one pack for girls and one for boys so everyone is happy!

Here is a look of the skins on me, I didn't like the first one but the three others are fab!

I look like I just came out of a cat fight on that last one! Anyway the store is behind the huge elephant sculpture at the landing point! By the way I couldn't buy the skins when I was there, you have to click on them to get them.

I went to Cutting Class a few days ago but just got the time to blog about the fantastic place as I have the work day off. I have to admit, when I first walked in I was freaked. The sounds and music is what always makes or breaks the atmosphere for me, and you better believe it. When I tped in I almost ran the other way. But my love for hidden goodies and scaring the crap out of myself dragged me in. Along with me I brought Calista, Mia, Bone, (VOTE FOR HIM! Vote vote vote. Ivalde has three new freebies out on the freebie wall! If you can't find it, (HUGE store.) its on the second floor, turn left, and then turn left again until you hit the wall. And there you will find them! It's all the same outfit, but each comes with 5 different colored tops, and dark denim, light denim, or black colored capris. The great Vicious strikes again! Today she informed me about a hunt going on in the Tully (not the skins!) sim. It has some okay prizes and it has some really cute things too! My favorite one is definitely the belt. You can make it spell out every 3 words you can think of! And since you get two belt with different attachment points you can even cheat like I did!

You will be looking for quite easy to spot pumpkins, 18 of them! Hunt locations after the pictures, hunt lovers stop reading after them :)

Aoharu

Aoharu has put a new item in its lucky chair! It's this beautiful trench coat. It comes either with a skirt or just the belt, I noticed that after taking the pictures so sorry you only see the skirt option here :) . It's totally gorgeous and definitely a must have for your wardrobe!

At the landing point the chair should be in the section of Aoharu to your left. Take the middle entrance to the store and the chair should be just in front of you.

The letter changes every 20 minutes but if you go now there are a lot of people since it just got released!

Truth

Truth has put a fatpack of cute shoes in its store for 0l! Just get down to the store at the entrance go to the right section and walk straight to the wall facing the entrance. On the floor you should see a rectangular board next to a subscribo, this is what you're looking for! Buy the shoes and impress your friends with those cuties!
